An Unexpected Gathering of Stars
Hegseth’s Unusual and Dangerous Order to Every General and Flag Officer to Report to Quantico on Tuesday
The story broke this morning that last night Secretary of “War” Drunken Pete Hegseth ordered every Flag and General Officer and their senior enlisted advisors, to Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia. The order is unique in the history of the United States military. Since none of the Generals or Admirals ordered to report to Quantico received any information about the meeting, it is doubly unique. Any time senior Generals and Admirals are ordered to conferences or meetings in the Capital area by the SECDEF (I refuse to use Hegseth’s claim to be the Secretary of War until Congress passes appropriate legislation to change the title), they are always given the agenda. Without an agenda they are in the dark until the meeting begins. Thus, they have no idea of what to expect. It shows that Hegseth has no trust in the Generals. Certainly, they understand that today.
Having every General and Flag Officer out of the commands, especially in forward deployed locations in Europe, the Middle East, the Indo-Pacific, Asia, Africa, and even North, Central and South America, any adversary could take full advantage of a government shutdown compounded by their absence to take hitherto unimaginable risks against U.S. interests and forces abroad, or even strikes against targets in the United States.
That is worry number one. Worry number two is what is an adversary with the capability of hitting the United States, with let’s say a submarine launched hypersonic cruise missile, like Russia decides to decapitate the leadership of the entire U.S. military at the meeting, these is only one place on Quantico big enough to host such a great assemblage of leaders, that is the The Clubs at Quantico and Crossroads Events Center, which are designed to host 1000 or more guests. That’s not classified, and certainly easy to figure out how to plot into a targeting computer. Nor can we rule out foreign terrorist threats, and while Quantico is a very secure base, it doesn’t mean that its facilities are immune from attack. The major military headquarters, and training commands and the FBI headquarters to be sure, but clubs on a military base are relatively soft targets. I am concerned, as you and every attendee should be. Additionally, there are not enough suitable rooms on base for that many Flag and General Officers, this means that some will have to stay off base. There are many hotels that can take up the slack, but every one of those officer must be afforded adequate security. The security concerns I have for these officers is great. Foreign and anti-government terrorists could target them off base. That includes Right Wing terrorists looking to execute a “False Flag” operation. The danger to these men and women is severe.
So why justify all of these risks? For the life of me I don’t know from any rational or logical point of view. Why order every one of them to Quantico without even leaving one of their high ranking deputies who can make decisions in charge to ensure that any contingency can be handled? That makes no sense. Why put them all in one publicly announced location on a specific day? That doesn’t make any sense either.
Next, why were they not given an agenda? Is it that because that he does not trust them to leak possibly nefarious information about the meetings? I think that may be a big part of it. It is certainly not going to inspire loyalty from the men and women the failed Army National Guard Major who never commanded more than a platoon, and has no mid grade or senior officer military education now commands. The senate waived key provisions on the law that governs selections to lead DOD in order to confirm drunken Pete.
Now the failed National Guard Major commands all of them to show up at Quantico with no explanation. There are some easily explainable reasons. Trump and Hegseth have insisted on absolute loyalty to Trump, and Hegseth has already fired about a dozen key senior officers, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the CNO of the Navy, the Commandant of the Coast Guard, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force, the Chief Judge Advocate Officers of the Air Force and Army, the Navy Chief had already retired with no replacement, as well as the head of the National Security Agency, the Chief of the Naval Reserve, and the Commander of Navy Special Warfare Operations Command, while the Chief of Staff of the Air Force announced his retirement after being “asked” read “ordered” to retire. Hegseth has ordered a cut of 100 General and Flag Officer positions across the military, and a reduction of 20% of the 4 Star positions, likewise he has ordered the National Guard to make similar reductions.
One possibility is that Hegseth will use the opportunity to announce who is going home and what positions are being cut. Another possibility is that he will announce that the officers will have to “choose who they will now serve, the Regime or the Constitution.” That would certainly trigger a negative reaction from men and women, who regardless of their political views, who served together in their respective services going back to their commissioning, their early service and in combat. It would also quickly get into the media, causing even more embarrassment for Hegseth.
Another possibility is that the meeting will be used to instruct the senior leadership that their new primary mission is to ready the military for use against American citizens, for police and immigration enforcement missions. These are in violation of the Constitution and the Posse Comitatus Act, not that the Regime has attempted this already, but faced setbacks in District and Appeals Courts.
It could be any or all. I cannot imagine why for any other reason Hegseth, obviously acting under the authority of Trump has ordered this meeting.
This is a dangerous moment for a number of reasons that I have described here.
So until late next week due to my backlog of doctoral degree work, be safe and watch your six.

Thank you Dr. Hall so much. All the best and be safe.
An unexpected gathering of stars, indeed. Thank you, Steven. And good luck on your dissertation.
