Trump and Elon’s Brownshirts will Be Deputized as Trump’s Enforcers

Timothy Snyder wrote:

“When the men with guns who have always claimed to be against the system start wearing uniforms and marching with torches and pictures of a leader, the end is nigh. When the pro-leader paramilitary and the official police and military intermingle, the end has come.”

The names of the groups are well known. The Proud Boys, the Three Percenters, the Patriot Front; Neo-Nazis, Klansmen, and disparate Militia organizations operating under different names. Since 6 January, 2021 most of these groups went underground or remade their image, particularly the Three Percenters who worked to cultivate ties with Sheriff’s, police departments, and with members of the National Guard, Reserves, and the active duty military. However, since Trump’s election victory, all are gaining strength and openly recruiting new members from across the spectrum, and some have international chapters in Europe. Most of their law enforcement or military members have some form of military training or experience. Many of the American groups are preparing themselves to take part in Trump’s planned deportation operations, or to take vengeance on their mutual enemies. As such, though they are mostly operating independently at the moment, they are ready to unite once Trump is in power. Thus they constitute a nucleus of recruits for a semi autonomous Trump security force. Snyder wrote:

“people and parties who wish to undermine democracy and the rule of law create and fund violent organizations that involve themselves in politics. Such groups can take the form of a paramilitary wing of a political party, the personal bodyguard of a particular politician—or apparently spontaneous citizens’ initiatives, which usually turn out to have been organized by a party or its leader.”

Tom Homan, Trump’s “Border Czar” told Fox News:

“There are thousands of retired agents, border patrols, retired military personnel who want to come and volunteer to help this president secure the border and do deportation operations.”

He is referring to the men in these groups. Be sure, that within the first month of Trump’s term, all will be deputized to help Homan accomplish his mandate. The deputization will be much like how Hitler deputized his Sturmabteilung Brownshirts and Heinrich Himmler’s SS as police auxiliaries after the Reichstag Fire in February 1933, and how after he took complete power in August 1934, he made the Waffen SS an independent arm of the military, and given control of all police organizations in the Reich. Like the SS they will receive military and police equipment and training, like the Brownshirts, they will become Trump’s foot soldiers.

Authoritarians who aspire to be dictators do this. Vladimir Putin created a “National Guard” outside of the regular military command structure that was completely committed to serving him. They have played an important role in his continued hold on power. Private military companies such as Wagner had their leadership decapitated or compromised and now act as activated reserves for the depleted Russian army which has taken over one million casualties in Putin’s war against Ukraine.

Trump’s “Border Czar” Tom Homan

I fully expect that within days of Trump’s inauguration that Tom Homan will request that Trump and the acting directors of Justice and Homeland Security, if his picks haven’t already been approved by the Senate, to request that they be deputized as an agency reporting directly to him and Stephen Miller, America’s answer to Reinhardt Heydrich. Once this is accomplished expect them to be organized and equipped to assist ICE and INS in border enforcement, deportation operations, and guarding the many concentration camps required to house these people until Trump can find countries that will accept them. Loyal officers from the active or retired ranks of DOD, Homeland Security, ICE and INS will be transferred to assist in their organization and training, and promoted to ranks corresponding to the equivalent military or federal police grades. Because they will be auxiliaries, they will not need Senate confirmation or approval.

However, more funding will be needed for this new agency that is completely beholden to Trump and his loyalists. While Trump is using his majority in the House and Senate to create the agency to secure funding for it, expect Trump to sign an order for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to issue the new recruits small arms, crew served weapons, communications equipment, and vehicles such as up-armored HUMMVS and whatever M-35 2 1/2 ton, M-939 5 ton, or the newer FMTV 5 ton cargo trucks. Also expect them to receive a distinct uniform to separate them from other uniformed military or police services that serves to reinforce their authority over the people they arrest or imprison.

Likewise, expect that private construction and transportation companies will be funded by the government or by Trump’s oligarch allies like Elon Musk to help accomplish the mission without requiring much direct support from DOD, including the National Guard. Trump will not want to unnecessarily create additional fissures in the military, as he will already be doing as he wantonly fires senior General and Flag Officers to make room for lower ranking yet loyal officers to take their places. While he might employ Army, Army National Guard and Reserve units to assist in building camps or manning border posts to assist the Border Patrol and INS, expect the involvement of uniformed military personnel to be minimal in the deportation operations. Even loyalist Trump officers, like the German Wehrmacht officers loyal to Hitler will not want that kind of negative publicity. They might approve and support the measures, but they will want to keep their hands clean and let others do the dirty work, as the Reichswehr did during the infamous Night of the Long Knives in 1934.

Expect to see a new force helping Trump to carry out his deportation actions, as well as his actions against his political opponents. They will be a lot like the Nazi SA and SS, commanded by men fanatically committed to Trump’s aims. While they will be deputized to work alongside INS, ICE and other Federal police agencies, they will be independent of them, much like the SA and SS in Nazi Germany. While the SA would be decapitated by Hitler and the SS, backed by the Army at the end of June, 1934, the SS would rise to prominence, effectively become a state within the state.

The original organization of SA thugs and street fighters would decline in power and significance, while the SS under Heinrich Himmler, now joined by police and military professionals, law and academics, would dominate the Third Reich, not just the security services, but in economics and industry as leading industrialists and bankers received high ranking commissions in the General SS while Himmler became the header of the Reich Security Main Office, in the process took over all the police and security forces of the Reichstag, including the Order Police, the Gendarmerie, the Political Police, the Border Police, and the Secret State Police, better known as the Gestapo. Its intelligence service, the SD under Reinhardt Heydrich became a rival of the military intelligence service, the ABWEHR, eventually absorbing it in 1944. Heydrich would eventually be placed in charge of Hitler’s “Final Solution” of the “Jewish Problem”, before he was assassinated by Free Czechoslovakian commandos following the Wannsee Conference in 1942.

As this new uniformed force takes to the streets in the various capacities it will be assigned, do not give it the respect or deference it demands. If you surrender the rule of law to them, you will not get it back until they succeed in destroying themselves and the country.
